Who we are
idea8 is a product development company specialising in taking products from early concept all the way to a fully functional, approved end product. For the data described here, idea8 acts as the data controller. Contact us any time at hello@idea8.us.
What we collect
Only what you type into the onboarding form: your name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, country, timezone, preferred contact channel, company name and website, how we connected, and your project details (name, status, budget range, what you need next and any notes). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this page.
Why we use it and our legal basis
We use these details to contact you about your current and future projects, to prepare proposals, and to keep an accurate client record. Our legal basis is your consent (the checkbox on the form) and, where a project is underway, the performance of our contract with you. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who can see it
Submissions are stored in our managed cloud database and are readable only by authenticated idea8 team members with an admin role. We do not sell, rent or share your details with third parties for marketing. Our hosting and database providers process the data on our behalf under their own data protection terms.
How long we keep it
We keep client records for as long as we have an active or prospective working relationship, and for up to 24 months after our last contact. After that we delete them, unless we must keep records longer for tax or legal reasons.
Your rights (EU / UK and similar laws)
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, restrict or object to our use of it, or withdraw your consent. Email hello@idea8.us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access rules that restrict reads to authorised idea8 accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to the people who need it.
